To qualify for the GHRC Club Championships you need to ride 5 Time Trials and up to 8
Road Races during the year. Road races must be 30km or longer and timed by the organisers - you
decide the distance you ride, as long as it is more than 30km it will
count towards the championship. For Road Races, you need to enter the
race yourself and when the results are posted by the race organiser you
need to send your results to Hilary.
Of course, as these are all timed races, you must ensure that you have
the right timing chip on your bike for the race - no chip = no
time. For further details or to register to ride the next Time
Trial please contact Hilary or Dirk
HOW THE GHRC CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP IS SCORED The spreadsheet used for tabulating
results for 2012 measures your average speed against the World Elite Times
published for the Denmark World Cup TT winning time for your division
(2011),
giving a percentage of that time as a score. This allows people in
different divisions to compete on a level playing field, as everyone is
measured against their respective division (class) World Elite time. To
add some spice we require that you also participate in some road races
during the year and for each road race you complete, you will score 100
points up to a maximum of 800 (for 8 road races) in the year.
